Elizabeta Jewelry has launched an online fine jewelry website with a difference. It intends to focus on charitable programs that will benefit the environment and human rights.
In addition to carrying exclusive designer lines, the company has added Polar Bear Canadian mined diamonds to their clientele. Each of the stones is certified to have originated in by the country's government.
The company plans to donate $100 to Amnesty International for every .50 carat or larger Polar Bear diamond sold. In addition, it has pledged to donate part of its annual proceeds to Nature conservancy, an environmental, non-profit organization.
Liz Ratcliff, owner of Elizabeta Jewelry, notes: "Consumers spend large sums of money on fine jewelry; we believe they should feel good about where that money is going."
